Chapter Mileage Program!

NEW and IMPROVED!
We didn't become "The First Million-Mile Chapter north of the Mason-Dixon Line" in 2006 by just sitting around! No sirre bob. We did it by having members who like to ride, and a chapter Mileage Program that is fun, convenient and FREE to Frontier HOG members! And now we're gonna make it better!
One of the things we've noticed over the year is that many, many of you sign up for the Program during the year, but a smaller number of you do not complete the program by getting your mileage read the end of October. Why is this? Well, some of the reasons we hear are that prime riding season is over, you may have put you bike away, you are busy with other activities, you forgot, or the weather was crappy on the days that final mileage was being read and so you didn't get your bike down to Frontier.
SOLUTION- We're going to run the Annual Program from May to May! Both inital sign-up and final reading will take place during prime riding season! AND, at least this year, we will be doing final reading in conjunction with the CINCO DE MAYO POKER RUN on Staturday, May 1st! No Sweat!
Winter Mileage sign-up will still take place the end of October and will run until May 1st. That means that those of you currently in the Program don't need to do anything now, but will have until May 1 to log both your winter miles and annual miles. Going forward, those of you who wish to be entered in the Winter Portion of the Program next winter will need to get you beginning Winter mileage read next October. Got It?
WARNING!!! Because the May 1 date is going to be more convenient for everybody, the cut-off is going to be STRICTLY ENFORCED and odometer photos will not be accepted. Of course you may always get your final mileage read early by the staff at Frontier H-D, but the DROP-DEAD DATE for final reading is going to be no later than Tuesday, May 4th, the night of the May Chapter Round-Up. NO EXCEPTIONS. If the forecast shows rain for May 1 get in early. You are welcome to have your mileage re-read if you get more miles on before the drop-dead date. Otherwise, put on the old rainsuit and roll on down to Frontier on May 1 or to the Round-Up on May 4.
We understand that change can be difficult and confusing, but we think that this will work well for everybody and will greatly increase participation. We will continue to award prizes in the same categories, with recognition to the top 10-20 finishers, depending on category. We will also continue our much-copied $ Mileage Lottery $ , where everybody in the program earns a chance at big prizes for every 500 miles they ride. And of course, Ronnie Scheller will continue to get a
$ FREE SET OF TIRES $, compliments of Fronter H-D, unless one of you can knock him off his throne. Good luck with that.
